We kept hearing things about Babby Farms in Caldwell so we decided to check it out this wk. My sister in law came with me so together we brought 14 kids! Yes, we brought the monkeys to the zoo! 😉 I wasn’t sure what to expect, I was a little nervous that it was going to be a redneck version of a zoo, but it was AMAZING!

Babby Farms is considered an Exotic petting zoo. You can feed, pet, and interact with a large portion of the animals and you can even purchase a pony ride! It’s a really cute and clean setup and I loved that they had hand sanitizer bottles all over the place since we were petting and feeding the animals and my toddlers were occasionally tasting the animal food! #kidsaregross

Babby Farms is located at 5900 El Paso Rd in Caldwell, ID. They are open Tuesday-Sunday from 9am-5pm, but be aware that they do close if the temperature reaches 100 degrees for the safety of the animals and patrons. Prices are pretty comparable to the zoo:

Adults 12-54 $10.50

Kids 4-11 $8.00

Seniors 55 and up $7.50

Kiddos under 3 are free

Thursday they do a discount day and you save $2 per ticket. I LOVE that they do a military discount of 10% for all military and law enforcement! They take cash and cards, but you will want to bring quarters or cash to exchange for quarters because the animal feed machines are .25 cents. I think we spent more on feed than we did on the admission because my kids had so much fun feeding the animals and didn’t want to leave any of them out, so we had to feed THEM ALL! You can also purchase a pony ride for $3 (TOTALLY worth it!) and they have a little gift shop area too.

We brought our own snacks and drinks and they have a covered picnic area for lunch and lots of port-a-pottys for the kids-cause heaven forbid we go more than an hour without a potty break!

They have the usual goats, sheep, pigs, ponys, donkeys, but they also have kangaroos, camels, deer, turtles, zebras, zedonks, zorses, turtles, monkeys, birds and TONS more! You can walk around with the goats and the kangeroos and hand feed them. It’s pretty incredible! My Finlee ran around hugging the little pygmy goats!  She just kept saying “WOW!” She absolutely loved the whole experience! Well, except the pony ride! She refused to go and we gave her ticket to another kiddo in line cause she was convinced sitting on a pony was so scary!

Bottom line- If you’ve never been GO! You will love it, the kids will love it, and its truly unlike anything I’ve ever been to before! The staff are so kind and willing to answer a million questions (remember-we brought 14 kids with us!) Babby Farms is our new favorite!
