Laundry is the bane of my existence! Yes, this sign is actually hanging in my laundry room! I have tried every system on Pinterest with very little success, but I think we have finally come up with something that works for US. I used to be a little OCD about the way the laundry was folded (which really turned in to a never ending mountain of laundry as I waited for the perfect time to fold it all. I’ve had to be more realistic and let go a bit. Our goal is CLEAN clothes and some days that just has to be enough!
When we moved into our new house last year we bought a new washer and dryer. It was like Christmas for this mama! They are HUGE and I love them! In a pinch, I could probably put a few kids in there for a quick clean up 😉
I found this metal shelf for really inexpensive at Walmart. The laundry baskets are also from Walmart and they are SUPER cheap so I don’t get too mad if someone rides one down the stairs and it cracks. Cause us Mamas have to think about these things! I have a basket for each bedroom/pair of roommates.
All clean laundry gets sorted into the appropriate basket and then-this is the hard part-they put away their own laundry! Some are good about folding, some roll, and a few shove, BUT it’s clean, its put away, and that has to be enough for me. Sometimes we just have to prioritize and perfectly folded laundry that is put away perfectly isn’t the top of my list. Id rather have the extra time to play with my littles, so this system works for us! But just to be clear-Laundry still sucks! 😉 Anyone have some genius ways to get out stains for me?
